Picking Dandelions

Liz released a great sketch this week at The Scrappiest. I had a lot of fun with this one... I wanted to show that there are times when it is ok to embellish with flowers on a boy page. Check out the other great LO's from the entire DT. :)

Recent Sketches

Here are a few of the recent layouts I have done based on Liz's sketches at The Scrappiest. The most current is for Sketch 20.... It is a great sketch with sooo much potential... Give it a try :) It is hard to tell, but I took the same sheet of paper and cut out flower and the swirls so they are elevated with pop dots.

Next is my lo for sketch 19. This is a new summer line I found at Archivers.... The little creatures are actually chipboard animals that were already colored.... but they didn't match my color scheme so I flipped them over and sprayed the plain white side with glimmer mists to get the right match.

And lastly.....Here is my take on sketch 17

out of sorts

So I have been a little out of sorts lately..... just so much going on really. My 5 boys got out of school a week and a half ago and there are always many end of the year festivities. I had a garage sale last weekend - which I prepared for all week and so I haven't done much scrapbooking.. even what I have done I have not been inspired to do ( even with the great sketches...lol) So I am hoping that in the coming weeks I can get my mojo back :)This is for this weeks sketch #16 at The Scrappiest! There is a great Sketch at The Scrappiest this week! This is my version, but check it out and play along.... The other DT members came up with some beautiful LO's!

I used the new summer line from imaginisce ... and on my plain white cardstock I placed flowers and then sprayed glimmer mists over them to create the background. I really love the colors in the new line :)

April Showers bring.........

This is my take on another great sketch from Pink Sketches. You should really check them out... It is alot of fun :) I took these pics just after our big spring snowstorm a couple of weeks ago. The journaling reads: "April Showers bring May flowers" or so the saying goes. In Colorado, however, April "showers" bring really BIG snowmen. Kids from our neighborhood spent an entire day building what had to be a 10 foot snowman. You all spent hours playing with it before it melted. April 2009

Angel Baby

I have been on the hunt for the perfect picture to use with this new line of Prima paper and flowers. I love this pic....I actually peeled it off of a not so great LO I made about 7 years ago of my youngest...LOL. and scanned it so I could turn it B/W. I found the crystal garland on clearance at Michaels (score) I love how it turned out :)

Daddy's Little Boy

I had so much fun playing with Basic Grey's new 'Lime Ricky' line!!! The colors are awesome. I did this page for a sketch on Pink Sketches.

This is a layout I made based on sketch 28 from http://pinksketches.typepad.com/....I am so excited, I don't think I have ever been motivated enough to scrap a page on the same day as the event :)

So I realized in my about 9 years of scrapping I have never done a page about anything other than my kids....So I found a great sketch on http://thescrappiest.blogspot.com/ and decided I would do a page to honor my husband for our anniversary. This is what I came up with.

WOW!!

Wow! I have been looking through other peoples blogs (to try and get an idea on what I am doing..lol) and I am so impressed! Specifically the Scrapbook blogs. I am so inspired and motivated. I mean I knew there was a lot of people who love what I love, I just never realized the community. I am so excited! I can't wait to start some of the challenges that have been posted. Creativity Awaits :)
